SURFACE TENSIONS (08 September – 02 December 2017) is a dynamic series of site-specific installations, discussions and performance that challenges our experience and understanding of the ‘sense of place’, which more than ever, is undergoing increasing instability and continual reconstructions under the rapidly changing social political currents, revealing underlying tensions beneath the veneers of civilisation. Curated by Tomas Poblete and Nina Shen-Poblete, the entire building on Tontine Street (no.73) in Folkestone will become a testing ground and point of intersection between art, architecture and performance, inviting a high calibre of UK-based and international artists, architects and musicians.

27.Oct.2017 – Customs House, Folkestone Harbour Arm

Two artists, Andrew Holmes and Sean Griffiths, will give a talk about their commission and practice.

Sean Griffiths – ‘Lines of Habitation, Lines of Occupation’
